The Set Work Area app allows you to switch between different work areas. You can reach it inside the context menu:
Once open, it shows a list of items on the left hand side and a list of tasks on the right hand side:
You can then browse to the appropriate task and double click on the task in order to switch tank's work area to point at that task instead. When switching, Tank will restart its engine and reload all environments, so the menu may change as part of the switch - if you are switching from a shot to an asset, very different tools may be used in the workflow, so completely different apps may be loaded in the two environments.
There are also a number of smaller options and features:
You can create a new task if there is no suitable task (this feature can be turned off in the configuration).
The built-in search boxes makes it easy to quickly navigate to an item in the list.
To see all the various configuration parameters that you can set in order to customize the behaviour of this item, please head over to the settings page.
